Mark Faint
18th May 1965, so that makes me old.
For the next few years I'll be paying off the mortgage for my flat in the East of London, England.
I currently work in the City of London for a firm of Analytical Chemists.
I spend my day analysing a wide range of animal feeds and human food commodities. We check to make sure that all the food products are what they say they are and if they are fit for eating. The analysis ranges from simple things like checking net weights and calculating nutritional information (as seen on the back of most food packaging these days) to a wide range of Microbiological tests (looking for such nasties as E. coli and Salmonella).
Working so closely with food all day tends to put you off eating.
