Photographs of Turbinicarpus species belonging to the Mandragora aggregate

The vast majority of the plants pictured here were acquired from the specialist Turbinicarpus nursery of Paolino Panarotto. If you are interested in the genus Turbinicarpus, including Gymnocactus, I cannot praise the service and quality of plants of this nursery highly enough. There are also a few interesting forms, which are not found anywhere else, originating from another excellent source of plants and literature, Whitestone Gardens.

The flowers are approximately 2.5cm Ø. The plant has been supported for this photo, but in the greenhouse grows hanging over the edge of the pot.
