Translated from the German
Body 8-12 mm in diameter, 15-20 mm high, above a 40-60 mm long tuberous root. Flower: same as in the type species (krainzianus). Seeds: in shape same as in the type species, measurements 0.6 to 0.4 mm.

Locality: Hidalgo, México.

Notes

This taxa seems to be fairly variable in body diameter. Cultivated specimens also generally have a larger diameter than that shown in the description.
